School Visits: PSO String Quartet

As part of the PSO’s mission to inspire and educate the audiences of today and tomorrow, our school programs provide students with an opportunity to get up close and personal with PSO musicians. Students learn about orchestral instruments and how sound is produced among many other topics. These workshops are the first step to a lifelong relationship with music.

On January 13, the PSO String Quartet will be visiting the Portsmouth Public Elementary Schools. Kids will learn about the different instruments in an orchestra’s string section and the role they each play as a group.
