Stringendo teachers
Aubrie Dionne, Outreach Director, is the principal flutist of the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra and the Outreach Director of Stringendo. Aubrie also teaches at Plymouth State University, Southern New Hampshire University, and the Manchester Community Music School. She has developed programming at the Music School for the past eight years and enjoys bringing musicians together to create memories and excellent music! Aubrie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from UNH, where she studied with Peggy Vagts, and has studied at the Master’s level with Robert Willoughby.
Johnny Mok, principal cello, is a highly sought after teacher/cellist in the New England Area. Mok has been teaching with several organizations in the past 10 years, and has led numerous masterclasses across the US. He is currently the principal cellist of the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra, New Hampshire Philharmonic, and Cape Ann Symphony. He is also a founder of his Cello/Piano Duo, Aroma. Mok maintains a private studio and often teaches chamber music, along with orchestral skills. He is very delighted to be part of an exceptional faculty at Stringendo.
Aniko Geldaze, violin, is a Concertmaster and soloist from Russia. She has collaborated with major orchestras from many parts of the world, including Russia, Europe and Asia. Aniko studied at the Royal Collee of Music in London and participated in yearly concert tours in Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Aniko has led quartets and participated in the chamber orchestra “Camara Rusa.” She is currently a member of the Portsmouth Symphony, the Nashua Chamber Orchestra, Portsmouth Pro Musica, and the New Hampshire Philharmonic.

All Stringendo performances are geared to last approximately 45 minutes to an hour in length. All presentations can also include a PowerPoint to give a multimedia boost to the musical experience.
PSO Young Artist Competition
The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra is pleased to offer a Young Artist Competition for instrumentalists. Now in its eighth year, the competition gives an outstanding young instrumentalist the chance to perform with the orchestra during our end-of-season concert each year.
Stringendo Youth Chamber Music Coaching
The PSO offers young talented string players a chance to participate in chamber music coaching by principal players of the PSO. Players are chosen based on private teacher recommendation. Please have your teacher email for more details.
